Roman Mosaics
This painting is a Mosaic which is to be found in every room of private houses which belonged to traders and merchants, not just found in the dining room. This was the sort of mosaic art which the Romans encountered when they came to Greece. In modern times people would place paintings among there house to show there decorative ability and wealth.
Roman Slave Market
This painting is of a Roman slave market. This painting is showing how women were sold off in auctions; against there will and had to stand naked in front of the potential buyers. In modern times there are not any human auctions because selling people i.e slavery is illegal.

Aristotle, 384–322 B.C.E. This Greek philosopher and scientist organized all knowledge of his time; Hellenistic and Roman times and even affected medieval science and philosophy. In modern times we have many philosophers that study the same things as Aristotle and more subjects such as values , religion , language and mind.
Marcus Tullius Cicero
Orator, politician and philosopher Marcus Tullius Cicero is said to have been able to speak "as no other Roman ever spoke before or after." His impact on political thought has endured to the present day. In modern times, one would consider Cicero someone whom would resemble the profile of a president due to his speeches, writings and political thought.
